I grew up as a little girl next door to Phyllis and Everett I have wonderful memories sharing time with them they were always so kind and giving. I was always over playing in their yard with all of the kids on the block and they welcomed us always! God Bless you Phyllis and your family. Love Karla (Runiyon) Fuehrer!

I am very sorry to read of the loss of, Mr. Ballentine. He was a very faithful and dedicated man, married for 73 years! I won't pretend to know what you're going through, but what has helped me deal with the loss of those I love, is turning to the Scriptures, something that has been a real source of comfort. One Scripture that gives me hope is, John 11:25, which says, "Jesus said to her: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life." I hope that this verse will also comfort you and, I hope you and your family can get through this difficult time. Please accept my condolences for the loss of your beloved husband, father, grandpa and friend. Sincerely, Meryl, jw.org - healingwordsforu@gmail.com

I was saddened to hear of Everett's death. For so many years he and Phyllis were amazing neighbors to our family. I am sure that my boys will never forget getting a ride in the wagon behind Everett's riding lawn mower. Prayers and healing thought to Phyllis, Wayne, Scott and their families for their loss.

It is with sadness I received this notice. As a child, teenager and adult I have known Everett as a man which I compare to what a man, husband and father should be. I was privileged to have known him and my thoughts are with the family because I understand what they have lost.

Everett and Phyllis were dedicated woodland owners and participated in many activities associated with the Indiana Forestry and Woodland Owners, including officers in the early days of their membership. I always enjoyed talking to Everett about his woods and his days of engineering at Allison. I will always remember Everett and his knowledge, very interesting. I pray that Phyllis will mend soon and can reflect on the many wonderful memories that I know she has of their many years of marriage.
