Evelyn M. Browning, 82 of Plainfield, passed away on November 13, 2018. She was born on May 1, 1936 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Arden and Emma Horn Ober. She was the widow of Kenneth R. Browning. She worked in administration at the Indiana Youth Center for several years retiring in 2001. Evelyn enjoyed bowling, playing euchre, and playing golf. She loved to spend time with her family. She was a member of Tri Kappa, Plainfield Chapter and the Plainfield Elks Lodge #2186 ladies auxiliary. Evelyn had an artistic side to her and was very talented drawing, painting and even sculpting. Calling hours will be on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Jon Lilly officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Survivors include her children, Becky Hodson and husband, Chuck, Jeff Browning and wife, Elizabeth; sisters, Marilyn Piety and Elaine Bell; grandchildren, Jordan, Nathan and Amanda Hodson, Sam and Ben Browning.
