Obituary

Ernest A. Cregar III, 60 of Danville, passed away June 11, 2019.  Born October 10, 1958 in Ayer, Massachusetts, he is the son of Maria Strickland Swaney and the late Ernest A. Cregar, Jr.  A lifelong carpenter, he was currently employed with the Mike Worth Excavating Company in Brownsburg.  Ernie enjoyed woodworking, fishing and anything outdoors.  Survivors include his children, Jeff Keegan of Danville, Melissa Thompson of Whitestown, Jennifer Branham of Plainfield, Stephanie Keegan of Columbus; mother, Maria Swaney of Danville; sisters, Larraine Smith (Steve) of Danville, Sue-Ellen Fairbanks (Kevin) of Cherry Valley, MA.; 11 grandchildren, Ava, Gracie, Carson, Felicia, Chasity, Alyk, Kyla, Ryanna, Robert, Makaylee, Cole and 2 great grandchildren, Easton and Everleigh.  His father and brothers, Kenneth Lawrence Cregar and Wayne Douglas Cregar, preceded him in death.  Services will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, June 17, 2019 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.  Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service in the funeral home.  Online condolences may be made at www.bakerfuneralservice.com
