Deborah R. Williams, known as Debby, was born on July 29, 1951 to the proud parents
of Dr. Garth and Wanda Keller and big sister Deedee. She entered into the larger
life on Tuesday, August 14, 2018. She will be missed by her family and friends, but they are
thankful that she is now free from pain. She was a loving wife, doting “Grandma” of 7 grandchildren,
Doting “Aunt Deb” to two nieces and 4 great nephews and a caring sister.
Debby graduated from Cascade High School in 1969 and graduated from
Ball State University in 1973. After college, Debby worked for L.S. Ayres for 10 years as a
Buyer. She started buying gloves, then moved to the Ayres Christmas Sparkle Shop, and
finally to children’s clothing. In 1983, she opened Initially Kids, a darling children’s apparel store,
located in the Plainfield Plaza. After closing the store, she obtained her real estate broker’s license. She
and her husband opened Keller Real Estate.
She belonged to the Plainfield United Methodist Church. She loved children and all animals.
She and Dave rescued dogs and got them ready for adoption. They also drove hundreds of miles
on behalf of several dog rescues making sure that dogs and cats were in a safe place.
Debby is survived by her husband of 28 years, Dave Williams; step daughters: Stephanie Plummer (Joe)
and Angie Bryant (Morris); step daughter-in-law: Cynthia Storm (Quentin); 7 grandchildren:
Nicholas Plummer (Ariel), Ashlee and Madison Plummer, Brandyn Williams, Taylor and
Joseph Storm and Grace Bryant; sister Deedee Daniel (Mel); two nieces: Dia Shaffer (Greg) and
Rene’ Thomas (Matt) and 4 great nephews.
Visiting hours will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday August 17, 2018 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. A memorial service will start at 7 p.m. after visiting hours in the funeral home. Inurnment will be at a later date in Maple Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking a gift be given to the Plainfield Shop with a Cop
