Carla S. (Groff) Meier

Carla S. Meier 77, of Plainfield, passed away on August 7, 2018 in her residence. She was born on April 15, 1941 in Salem, Illinois to Carl Wesley and Hazel Mardell Alderson Groff.  She was the widow of Rev. Sheldon Meier. Carla was a Data entry clerk in accounts payable for IUPUI for 17 years retiring in 2006.    She was a member of the Plainfield Baptist Church and enjoyed playing Mexican train dominos, spending time with her kids and grandchildren, working puzzles, sitting out in her garage, watching episodes of Matlock and Walker Texas Ranger and movies on the Hallmark Channel. Carla, in her younger days, was quite the dancer and roller skater.   Calling hours will be on Sunday August 12, 2018 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Funeral services will be on Monday August 13, 2018 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home.  Entombment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Survivors include her daughter: Kelly Meier. Sons: Kent and Kevin Meier.  Sister: Marilyn K. Meier.  18 Grandchildren and 3 Greatgrandchildren.
