Obituary

Barbara Jean Singleton, 87 of Danville, passed away April 24, 2018.  Born August 14, 1930 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Gordon B. and Venita Iris Smith Craig.  She married Richard R. “Dick” Singleton on September 16, 1955 and he preceded her in death in 2008.  Barbara worked at Wean, Andrews and Company, Danville, for 25 years, before retiring from the accounting firm.  She was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church in Avon.  Survivors include her daughters, Sandra (Larry) Willis of Danville, Sally (David) Lawlor of Warsaw, Sarah (Kenneth) Lofton of Danville; daughter-in-law, Sally Minton of Danville; sister, Martha Lickliter of Indianapolis; 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and her dearest friend, Rose Cox of Avon.  Her parents, husband, sons, Ronald Gene Minton and Charles Frederick Minton, preceded her in death.  Services will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 28, 2018 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with burial to follow in the Danville South Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service time in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Singleton Family, payable to Sandra Willis, c/o Baker Funeral Home 387 E Broadway St Danville, IN  46122.
