Barbara Lee (Cline) Marcotte, 69, of Noblesville, passed away May 22, 2018 surrounded by her loving husband and daughters. She was born July 3, 1948 in Mishawaka, Indiana to Percy “Buck” Cline and Norma Cline. She graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1966 and later went on to receive a Bachelors of Science degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2001. She is survived by her husband Thomas Francis Marcotte; children, Julie Thacker (Joel), Angie Sanders (Aaron); sisters, Wanda Dugan and Sharon Cline and: brother, Terry Cline; grandchildren Elaina, Cole, Olivia, and Aidan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Buck and Norma Cline.
Barbara spent her life in service to others. She worked in public education primarily as a secretary to the principal at Hamilton Southeastern High School. Not a single day passed in which she wasn’t trying to do something for another. She will forever be remembered for being sweet, compassionate, generous and kind with an inner strength, which was evident to all who knew her. Her smile and laughter could light up a room, bringing joy to others. Besides entertaining, Barbara enjoyed traveling all over the world with her husband, making new friends along the way.
In keeping with Barbara’s wishes, she will be cremated. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life Open House on Saturday, July 14 from 2-5 p.m. at the Country Moon Winery 16222 Prairie Baptist Rd, Noblesville, IN 46060. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 50 E. 91st Ste. 100 Indianapolis, Indiana 46209-4830. Cremation services have been entrusted to Hall-Baker Funeral Home in Plainfield.
