Barbara Ann (Zore) Keers, 81 of Plainfield, passed away December 27, 2018 at Hendricks Regional Health, Danville. Born May 4, 1937 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Joseph and Louise (Turk) Zore. She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph F. Keers of 59 years. Married on May 2, 1959 in Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Indianapolis. Barbara graduated from St. Mary’s High School and received her nursing degree from St. Vincent’s School of Nursing, both in Indianapolis. She worked as a registered nurse and was a member of the St. Vincent’s Alumni Group. Barbara also served as a board member for the CYO. She was a member of St. Susanna Catholic church in Plainfield. Her biggest accomplishments was her devotion to her faith and to raising her children, which made her family the center of her life. Other survivors include Lisa (Dan) Hession of Brownsburg, Laura (Dave) Moore of Avon, Julie (Mike) Carr of Pittsboro, J.T. (Nan) Keers of Pittsboro, Chris (Kim) Keers of Pittsboro, Dan (Kim) Keers of Lizton, Denise (Richard) Newkirk of Brownsburg; brother, Dr. Joseph (Mary Ann) Zore of Florida, 23 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents Joseph and Louise Zore, siblings Louise Collins, Father Richard Zore and Thomas Zore, son-in-law, David Moore.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at St. Susanna Catholic Church with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield, IN. Visitation will be held at St. Susanna from 3:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 and one hour prior to the funeral mass at the church. Contributions may be made to St. Susanna Catholic Church 1210 East Main Street Plainfield, IN 46168 or Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 3500 DePauw Blvd Ste 2070 Indianapolis, IN 46268. And in lieu of flowers, please attend mass in memory of our mom. Arrangements will be handled by Hall-Baker Funeral Home, located in Plainfield.
