Rosalie Schulmeister Rutledge of Danville, IN was born August 5, 1924 to Fred & Minnie (Baringer) Schulmeister, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 30, 2016 at Hendricks Regional Health after a short bout with pneumonia. Visitation will be Tuesday January 3, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.  at Baker Funeral Home in Danville.  Funeral services will be on Wednesday January 4, 2017 at 10: 30 a.m. in the funeral home.  Online condolences can be made at www.bakerfuneralservice.com   Rosalie married Wayne Rutledge December 22, 1944. She was a homemaker while raising their 3 children, then entered the work force at the Selective Service Office in Danville. As Wayne started his Carpet Cleaning business, she took on the bookkeeping duties and continued until they closed the business. She also worked for Jim Davis Accounting in Danville which later became Donovan & Associates where she retired. They enjoyed square dancing with friends and loved to travel in their travel trailer with the Good Sam's Travel Club. Later she enjoyed volunteering at the Danville Library and the Hendricks County Museum. One of her joys as was her Mother's was her flower garden with multiple varieties of plants. If not in the yard you could find her working her jigsaw puzzles or reading.  Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Marjorie Schulmeister and is survived by her husband Wayne, three children, Suzanne Whicker(Dave), John Wayne Rutledge (Barb), David Joe Rutledge (Sheryl), 5 Grandchildren - Jessica & Brittany Rutledge, Timothy, Steven & Douglas Whicker and 9 Great Grandchildren - Drake, Hadley, Chloe, Hannah, Haley, Caleb, Aubree Whicker, Dakota & Dalton Smith.   In lieu of flowers or gifts contributions may be made to the Wayne & Rosalie Rutledge Legacy Fund at Hendricks County Community Foundation, the Danville Public Library or the Hendricks County Museum.
