Rexford (Rex) D. Skillman, 95 of Bloomington, Indiana and previously from Coatesville (Heritage Lake) and Danville, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2017 in Bloomington.  Born October 30, 1921 in Fairland, he was the youngest of 8 children of Leroy and Tilda Jane Jonas Skillman.  After serving in the Navy and graduating from DePauw University, Rex married Patricia Ann Herrington on December 22, 1946 in Danville.  Pat preceded him in death in 2008.  Rex worked in sales for Ulrich Chemical before retirement.  He loved golf, driving his Cadillac, college basketball, his home at Heritage Lake and wintering in Naples, Florida.  Rex is survived by his daughters, Susy (Dick) Meacham of Bloomington, Sally (Nancy) Skillman of Cincinnati, OH.; son, Scott Skillman of Alpharetta, GA; grandchildren, Ellie Meacham, Erin Meacham and Sean Skillman.  Visitation will be from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 20, 2017 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with burial to follow in Danville South Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of choice.
