M. Jane Hume, 93 of Danville, passed away March 30, 2017.  Born December 2, 1923 in Lebanon, she was the daughter of Ross A. and Donnis Whitehead Voorhis.  She married Richard “Dick” Hume on June 4, 1955.  Jane worked as a keypunch supervisor for many years at Indiana Insurance.  She and her husband also owned and operated Hume’s Antiques for 22 years, retiring in 1999.  Survivors include her husband, Dick Hume of Danville; children, Leslie Hall (Michael) of Pittsboro, Michael Hume (Sandy) of Carmel, Libbie Vernon (Jamey) of Indianapolis; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  Her parents and siblings, Richard A. Voorhis, Mary Louise Voorhis and Robert Forrest Voorhis, preceded her in death.  Services will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery, North Salem.  Calling will be from 12:00 noon until the service time in the funeral home.  Contributions may be made to Special Olympics Indiana 6200 Technology Center Suite 105 Indianapolis, IN 46278.
