Another GREAT Navy man called home to his reward. Bearing the grief of my dear friend Phil and his family at the loss of such a great man.

Grandpa was a wonderful example of what it meant to be a Hoosier. He was kind, patient, hard-working, and a loving family man. He had a way of being calmly stern when we kids were being mischievous, but he'd just as easily chuckle with us. He taught me so many things...from fishing to how to play Euchre. But ultimately the lesson I learned and carry with me to this day is how to be a good man. My heart goes out to all of the family, he will be missed.

So sorry to hear of Bud's passing. I have known Bud since 1977 when I was hired at Federal Mogul. He was such a good man, boss, and would help you anyway he could for you to learn. Damon would come into the shop at Overton's and tell me when he got together with you and play cards etc. Said I seen Bud last night and always told him to tell Bud Hi for me next time. He will be missed much. Thoughts and prayers for your family . May the Lord bless and keep you. We were blessed to have Bud and to know him.
