I am so so sad to hear of your passing. I'm so sorry for your wife and children. Unfortunately, we last spoke 25 years ago. I'm sure you were a great husband and even greater father. You were so funny and genuine. You truly had a heart of gold. Thanks for those rides back to TH from Ohio when we were doing our summer internships while at ISU. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

We express our condolences to the family in the passing of your husband and father. I never met Jon , but did see him on the property on occasion. We live just west of you in the first house on Edgewood. I also retired from Duke, but may have done so prior to Jon's employment. We are sorry for your loss.

Jon - You were my best buddy. I can't believe you are gone. There is a hole in my heart that will forever be there. As you were always there for me, be assured that I will always be there for Kristin, Abby, and JJ.

My sincere condolences to Jon’s family and friends. My acquaintance with Jon was unfortunately limited to his years in Terre Haute and chance meeting in Danville several years ago. When I see a Wheel Horse tractor I think of Jon. When I think of Jon it always brings a smile, his laugh and his welcoming nature were both gifts he shared easily. I am saddened his call came so soon. My thoughts and prayers to you all. “May God grant you always… A sunbeam to warm you, A moonbeam to charm you, A sheltering angel, so nothing can harm you” - Irish quote

My co-worker and myself have had the pleasure to have worked with Jon since 2004. He had a can do attitude to get the job done. I will always remember a few sayings that Jon had "there is always another tool in the tool box" and "don't worry about the problem, worry about the solution". He will be sadly missed, but always remembered.

So sorry to hear of Jon's passing. We both remember Jon's love and pride for Abigal and Jon; when we worked with him at United. He was always quick with a smile and helping hand. Prayers for Kristen, Abigal and Jon during this difficult time.

To Kristin, Abby and JJ....I had the pleasure of knowing your husband/Dad for a little over 28 years; as a co-worker (ENSR), contractor (United Airlines and Duke Energy) and most importantly as a friend. I am deeply saddened and shocked at his passing. Jon had worked so hard both before and after his surgery to get healthy and to have this happen seems so unfair. He always impressed me as a devoted husband and father who was actively involved in his family life. As a person, Jon was bigger than life; both in stature and personality. He will be missed.

I don't know that I've ever met a more genuine, "comfortable in my own skin" person than Jon. Our careers in stack testing started at Almega, moved to Mostardi Platt and overlapped for most of those years. You could always count on Jon for several things: 1) he always had your back, 2) he always worked his butt off, 3) he never panicked, 4) he never took himself too seriously, and 5) he could always find the humor/irony in every situation. If you interacted with Jon for any period of time, you'd have to be absolutely clueless not to understand that you had been blessed to have that special a soul enter your life.

Though Jon and I would occasionally interact after we both stopped stack testing, I so regret not having kept in closer touch with him over the years. People like Jon are truly special. Fifty one years are far too short for somebody like Jon to be part of this life. Two times fifty one years would have been too little. The world may not realize it, but it's been diminished with the departure of that wonderful, brilliant and eternal smart-ass that was Jon. My and Cheryl's thoughts and prayers go out to Kristin, Abigail and Jon Jr.

I had the pleasure of knowing Jon many years through the Source Evaluation Society. I worked with him last year as the Co-Chair of our Annual Conference and he was to be the Chair for 2018. Jon was a lovely thoughtful man who got along with so many people, and he had all of our friendship and respect. It was a privilege to get to know him better last year as we worked closely together on the conference. My deepest condolences and blessings are sent to his family. We are all still in shock and will miss him terribly.
