Mrs. Gulley was my 6th grade teacher, circa 1968, at St. Susanna School. I thank God for her often. She had a profound influence on me and is my favorite teacher ever. She believed in me and instilled a confidence in me which helped me to go on and eventually earn a Ph.D. There will always be a special place in my heart for Mrs. Gulley.
Thank you!
Love,
Jerry Unterreiner

Gloria will be missed by so many of us whose lives she touched. She was always such a calming presence at the cancer center.

I first met Gloria while she was working at the Plainfield Catholic Church during the summer programs. Then Dave and I saw her and Norm several times at the summer concerts. She raised a good family and will certainly be missed. But, what a blessing to all who loved and knew her.

I know Gloria raised a loving family based on the stories related by my good friend Jeanne Gulley Sagar. May she rest in peace, and may her family find solace in their faith, cherished memories, and the thoughts and prayers of family and friends. Love you Jeanne, Nancy Z

It is with great sadness we receive this news. We do not have the words which will properly express the sadness we feel. Our thoughts and prayers will be for Norm and family. It is a privilege to know such a wonderful wife, mother, neighbor, educator, mentor and a friend.

There are no words to describe the feeling of losing a loved one. You feel an emptiness that no one can fill. But, in those quite times, remember all those cherished memories close to your heart. Those memories are what are going to carry you through these trying times. May God keep you, bless you, and you are all in my prayers.

The Southern Illinois Gulley family sends their condolences and love to our Indiana cousins. We were fortunate to have Glo in our lives for so long. It was a life well-lived and we cherish the memories, those past and those yet to be, of family get-togethers, summer visits, and celebrations.

Although I did not have the pleasure of knowing Gloria personally, I knew her through the life of her daughter, Jeanne. Ever dynamic, forthright, and compassionate; Jeanne's qualities and passion for helping others, were certainly cultivated by her mother's love. I am so sorry for your loss. The world shines less brightly without Gloria's light.

Any mother that raised such a wonderful family had to be a wonderful mother & person herself. I hope you find peace in the rest that lays ahead for her. Loss leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal. With Love and Blessings for you all, Richard, Gina & Hunter Bryant

The Gulley family. It was a pleasure being neighbors with Norm and Glo while our kids were growing up. I always knew they were watchful grandmother eyes around

I knew Gloria more after I graduated with Glenn then I did when we were in school. My mom, Jean Flynn and my Aunt Carlene Shockley knew of her well. I would be with them and if we saw Gloria they really enjoyed seeing her. Gloria always took the time to visit my mom and aunt when they would be in the hospital. She was always so sweet! When I read the e-mail from Bonnie tonight that she had passed the memories of that sweet smile of hers came flowing back into my mind. Gloria is another great mom that we will see in heaven one day. To the family I'm sorry for your lost.
