Christine (Rhea) Wise

January 31, 1921 ~ October 4, 2017 (age 96) 96 Years Old

Christine Rhea Wise, 96 of Danville, died October 4, 2017 in Hendricks Regional Health.  Born in 1921 near Stilesville, she was the daughter of Howard and Roxie Warmouth Rhea.  Christine graduated from Amo High School and married Paul Wise in 1939.  She was a homemaker and helped her husband on their family farm.  She also worked at the Stilesville Implement Auction for 20 years.  Christine served as a Sunday school teacher and in many other capacities in her church.  She was currently a member of the Clayton Baptist Church.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, James Robert Rhea, Kenneth C. Rhea, Leroy Eugene Rhea; sisters, Carol Trump, and Betty Arnold.  She is survived by her sister, Alberta Miles; children, Sandra VanNice (Bill), Paul Steven Wise (Brenda), Ella Walton (Ted); grandchildren, Cheryl Hugunin, Corie Wise, Kris Brock, Kathi Walton, Rachel Purciful, David Gilmore, Nathan Bayliss, Nick Bayliss, and Nicole Duncan.  She also dearly loved and enjoyed her great grandchildren, Andy Brock, Katie Brock, James Hugunin, Chelsea Hugunin, Dallas Wise, Sierra Wise, Jaycee Gilmore, Micah Gilmore, Caitlin Bridges, Samantha Purciful, Andie Purciful, Brylee Duncan, Brynlee Duncan, Bryson Bayliss, Rayne Bayliss, Bailey Bayliss and great-great grandchildren, Hayden Wise, and Alistair Bridges.

Time of Remembrance will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 7, 2017 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with burial to follow in Mill Creek Cemetery.  Family and friends may call from 11:00 am until the service in the funeral home.  Memorial gifts may be made to the Clayton Baptist Church P. O. Box 80 Clayton, IN 46118.
